Ma petite victime du jour s'appelle Mary Oldfield et elle a terminé ce joli sampler en 1806 à l'âge de 10 ans. Le modèle vient du magazine américain Sampler & Antique Needlewok Quarterly n°41.
One of my first victims is called Mary Oldfield and she finished this lovely sampler in 1806 when she was 10 years old. The chart comes from SANQ magazine issue 41.
J'ai commencé ce modèle il y a quelques années (lin Gander et fils de soie Mori Milkpaint), mais je suis tombée en panne de bleu. Le temps de commander, la gravité, tout ça... je vous ai déjà expliqué 
I started this sampler a couple of years ago (Gander linen and Mori Milkpaint silks), but I ran out of blue silk. I waited to place an order, and, you know, gravity... I already mentionned it
En bas, on voit Adam et Eve en costume d'époque, ce qui est courant mais rigolo. Enfin, costume d'époque, façon de parler, parce qu'Adam, il est topless avec un pantalon taille basse !
At the bottom of the sampler, you can see Adam and Eve dressed like people were in 1806. But Adam is not totally dressed, isn't he ?
J'ai recolorisé ce sampler qui avait été mis en fiche avec les couleurs fanées de l'original.
I used more vivid colors than the ones of the original sampler that were used in the chart.

Je trouvais ma palette un peu mièvre avec toutes ces couleurs pastel, et puis finalement, on s'y fait
I thought my colors were a little bit too sentimental with all these pastel shades, but well, I got used to them
Mais en ce moment, c'est plutôt patchwork, patchwork et patchwork...
But now, I'm only quilting, quilting and quilting...
